CS2 vs Valorant sensitivity and eDPI: a practical guide.
Published by the NexusNova Editorial Team.
If you move between Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant, copying the same sensitivity number will not give you the same mouse movement. The games use different sensitivity scales, so a conversion is needed if you want roughly the same physical mouse distance for a full turn.
CS2 to Valorant sensitivity formula
A common yaw-based conversion is:
CS2 sensitivity ≈ Valorant sensitivity × 3.1818
For example, a CS2 sensitivity of 1.20 converts to about 0.377 in Valorant. The reverse conversion brings it back to roughly 1.20.

What eDPI means
eDPI combines mouse DPI and in-game sensitivity into one number:
At 800 mouse DPI and 1.25 in-game sensitivity, the result is 1000 eDPI. This is useful when comparing two setups inside the same game.
Why eDPI is not automatically comparable between games
Two games can interpret the same sensitivity number differently. That means identical eDPI values across CS2 and Valorant do not necessarily produce identical turn distance. For cross-game comparison, use a game-specific conversion instead of comparing raw eDPI.
360-distance is a starting point, not the whole feel
Even when the physical mouse distance for a full turn is matched, the games can still feel different because of field of view, movement, weapon handling, scoped multipliers and visual design. A converted sensitivity should be treated as a controlled starting point rather than a promise that both games will feel identical.
A simple way to test a new sensitivity
- Keep your mouse DPI unchanged.
- Convert the in-game sensitivity.
- Play a few consistent practice drills rather than changing the number after every miss.
- If needed, adjust in small steps and write down the setting that feels best.
Method and references
The conversion estimates matching physical mouse distance for a full 360° turn. The yaw-based ratio is 0.022 ÷ 0.07 ≈ 0.314286, so Valorant sensitivity is approximately CS2 sensitivity × 0.314286, equivalent to dividing by 3.1818. This assumes the same mouse DPI in both games. Treat the result as a starting point: it does not make the field of view, scoped multipliers, recoil or visual feel identical.

The yaw figures are community-documented conversion parameters, not a statement that Riot officially endorses this conversion. Use the in-game training range to confirm whether the result suits your setup.
