Private Quick Note
Save a simple note in this browser on this device. Nothing is uploaded by this tool.
Your note
How local browser storage works
When you press Save, the note is stored with the browser's local storage feature on the current browser profile. The page reads that saved value the next time you open the tool from the same browser and device. NexusNova does not intentionally send the note to a separate application server.
A practical use case
This tool is useful for temporary text you want to keep close while working in the same browser, such as a short checklist, a draft sentence, a reference number that is not sensitive, or notes you expect to copy elsewhere later. Because the note stays tied to one browser profile, it is intentionally simpler than a synced note service.
What “private” means here
“Private” means the tool does not upload the note to a NexusNova note-storage backend. It does not mean the text is encrypted with a separate password or protected from someone who can access your unlocked browser profile or device. Browser extensions, device malware, shared operating-system accounts or other local access can fall outside this page's protection.
Privacy and backup limits
Local storage is convenient, but it is not a permanent backup. Clearing site data, using private browsing, resetting the browser, changing devices or uninstalling the browser can remove the note. Browser sync settings may also behave differently between products, so this page does not promise multi-device synchronization.
Do not use this page as the only copy of important records, and do not treat it as a password manager or secure vault for passwords, recovery phrases, payment details, private keys, medical records or other highly sensitive information. Use a purpose-built encrypted service for secrets or records that need access control and reliable backup.
How to move or remove a note
Use Copy to move text into another app that you trust. Use Clear to remove this page's saved note from the current browser storage. If you are giving away or sharing a device, clear the note and browser site data as part of your normal device-cleanup process.

Use a local note for small, temporary tasks
The Private Quick Note is intended for short reminders, draft snippets, packing lists or a piece of text you want to keep while using the same browser. It is not a cloud notebook and does not synchronise automatically between your phone, laptop and other browsers. A note saved on one device should be treated as a separate copy until you deliberately export or move it using a method the page provides.
A safe note-taking workflow
- Write only the information needed for the task.
- Save the note and check that it remains after reloading the page.
- If you need it on another device, use the available copy or export action and transfer the text through a method you trust.
- Delete the note when it is no longer needed, especially on a shared computer.
Browser storage is convenient, but it is not a password manager or an encrypted vault. Avoid storing account passwords, recovery phrases, API keys, private client records or financial identifiers here. Anyone who can use the same unlocked browser profile may be able to access locally stored content. Clearing browser data, changing profiles or using private browsing can also remove or separate the note.
What “private” means, and what it does not
The note is designed to remain in browser storage rather than being saved to a NexusNova account or a remote note database. This boundary does not protect against device malware, shared-device access, browser extensions or someone who can open the same profile. Do not treat local storage as a substitute for device security or a verified backup.
Private note questions
Will my note appear on another device?
Not automatically. Local browser storage belongs to the current browser profile on the current device.
What if I clear site data?
The note may be erased. Copy important non-sensitive information somewhere appropriate before clearing storage or resetting the browser.
